A minimal, keyboard-first email client. One key per action, a command palette for the rest, and search that finds what you remember. Works with Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and any IMAP mailbox.
Minimail is a fast, quiet front end for the mail you already have. No new address, no migration.
j and k to move, e to archive, r to reply. If you know Gmail's shortcuts, you already know Minimail's.
Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K to search mail, jump to any folder or change a setting. ⌘⇧P works too.
Archive, delete, move, snooze, even send. Press z and it's back. No confirmation dialogs.
Press h to hide a conversation until later. It comes back to your inbox the next time Minimail is open after the wake time.
Add Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and IMAP accounts side by side. g then 1, 2, 3 switches between them.
Every attachment from every thread in one grid, filtered by type. g then f takes you there.
Read in a side panel or full width. Light or dark, or follow your system.
No ads, no sidebars, no chat widgets, no upsell banners. One list and one message.
Minimail reads your attachments so you don't have to. Search finds text inside PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, and recognizes what's in your photos.

Gmail-compatible single keys. Press ? in the app to see them all.
Minimail has no database. There is nowhere on our side for your mail to be stored.
Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or your IMAP server. Your mail stays there.
Mail loads straight into the page. The search index is built here, encrypted.
Your sign-in is encrypted with our server key and kept only on this device. Copied anywhere else, it's useless.
Our server: no database. IMAP mail passes through its memory only, because browsers can't open IMAP connections. It's never written down.
Billing isn't switched on yet. Use Minimail free during the public beta. After the beta, these are the plans.

After the beta.
$60/yr

$80/yr
After the beta. Two months free.
Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook.com and Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, Zoho, GMX, AOL, and any server that speaks IMAP and SMTP. Type your address and Minimail finds the server settings for you.
Gmail and Outlook sign in with Google or Microsoft. iCloud, Yahoo and AOL need an app password, which you create in your account's security settings. Fastmail works with an app password too. Other IMAP providers use your usual password or an app password, depending on the provider.
Yes. Signing in with Google may be limited while Google reviews Minimail's Gmail access. Meanwhile you can always connect Gmail with an app password over IMAP.
Proton Mail needs Proton Mail Bridge, which runs on your computer and can't be reached from a web app, so it isn't supported on the web. HEY and Tuta don't offer IMAP, so they aren't supported.
No. Minimail has no database. Gmail and Outlook mail loads straight from your provider into your browser. IMAP mail passes through our server's memory, because browsers can't open IMAP connections, and is never written down. Your sign-in is encrypted with a server key and stored only on your device, so it's useless anywhere else.
Minimail builds a search index in your browser: message text, attachment names, text inside PDFs and Office files, and, if you turn on the optional on-device AI model, what your photos show. The index is encrypted and stays on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere to search.
Not yet. Minimail runs in any modern browser, and you can install it from your browser as an app on your computer or phone today. Native mobile apps come later.
No. Everything works with a mouse or touch. The keyboard is just faster, and every menu shows the key for next time.
Your mail stays with your provider, where it always was. Remove the account or sign out of this device, and its sealed sign-in and local data are cleared from that device. You can also revoke access at Google or Microsoft, or delete the app password, and Minimail can't connect again.
Superhuman is an AI-first email client; its published pricing starts at about $30/mo. Minimail does one thing, fast keyboard-driven email across any provider, and will cost $8/mo after the beta. It's free during the beta.
Nothing during the public beta, and no card is needed. After the beta: $8/mo or $80/yr. Everyone who joins during the beta gets the founding price of $60/yr, locked in while they stay subscribed.
Connect a mailbox in under a minute. Free during the beta, no card needed.
